A Fairview man was arrested in Sherwood after he threatened a woman with a machete, lead police on a chase across Clackamas County, before he finally jumped in a stream, according to Clackamas County Sheriff’s deputies.

Around 7 a.m. Thursday morning, Wilsonville police responded to reports of a man at Town Center Loop East near Wilsonville City Hall, who had jumped out of a car and menaced a woman with a machete, officers said.
