A domestic violence suspect was arrested today, one day after eluding authorities following a chase that ended in Newport Beach with an hours-long standoff.

Thomas Ueno was arrested in Cerritos by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

Ueno abandoned his SUV near Dover Drive and 16th Street in Newport Beach and ran off, according to Newport Beach police.
