A Colorado couple was headed for a two-month stay on the Florida coast when they were pulled over on an Alabama highway in what the husband and wife claim is a case of “marijuana profiling.”

Sandra Lenga, 65, and her 71-year-old husband were driving to St. Augustine, Fla., at the end of January, and their route took them through northeast Alabama as they headed toward Birmingham. They saw blue lights flashing ahead and moved into the left lane, but two law enforcement vehicles followed them and pulled them over for changing lanes too slowly, Sandra Lenga told the Denver alt-weekly publication Westword.
