Need a driver’s license soon? Get it before Friday brings four-day shutdown of system

 

 

The Alabama Department of Public Safety today announced a shutdown of its driver’s license database that will temporarily halt the department’s ability to issue driver’s licenses.

The shutdown will begin at 5 p.m. Friday and continue until 8 a.m. Wednesday, April 30, according to a news release from DPS. The shutdown includes online services.
