The Lexington Police Department responded to a pair of reckless driving incidents within 20 minutes of each other early Sunday morning.

According to a police statement, at 3:12 a.m. police received a report of a car speeding past a Lexington Volunteer Fire Department ambulance as it was transporting a patient to the hospital. The car that passed ran the stop sign at Eighth and Erie and collided with a tree.
